With sadness we announce the death of Monsignor Jack Burns who died peacefully in Glasgow Royal Infirmary in the early hours of this morning.
We give thanks for the earthly life that has just ended and for all that Mgr Jack achieved during his many years in the Priesthood. He is fondly remembered by many former pupils of Our Lady’s High School as one of the earliest school chaplains in the diocese, by many teachers for his work in catechetics and by the parishioners of St. Aidan’s, Wishaw and St. Bride’s, Bothwell as an energetic Parish Priest.
Monsignor Burns' remains will be received into St Bride's Church in Bothwell on Monday 24th April at 7.00 pm with his Requiem Mass being celebrated on Tuesday 25th April at 12 noon.
