Clergy Appointments

• Deacon Bill McMillan, currently serving in St Columbkille's Rutherglen, will take up a new appointment as Parish Deacon at Our Lady of Lourdes, East Kilbride.

• Deacon Michael Ross, currently serving in St Bride's East Kilbride, will replace Deacon Bill as Parish Deacon at St Columbkille’s Rutherglen.

These appointments will take effect on the last weekend in September 2021.

We thank both deacons for accepting these new appointments, while acknowledging their fine diaconal ministries in their present parishes.

In other recent appointments:

• Fr Dominic Quinn will be Acting Dean in the Rutherglen and East Kilbride Deanery until there is an election for a new Dean.

• Fr Gerry Bogan will take over the leadership of the Programme of On-going Formation for the Recently Ordained Priests.

• Fr Ghislaine Bakulikire Mulumanzi, parish priest of St Monica’s in Coatbridge, will take over from Fr James Travers as lead chaplain at St Andrew’s High School in Coatbridge
